Trinity Sunday John 3:1-16

Nicodemus is in the dark by thinking rationally. He wants to know what Jesus is teaching. Jesus is teaching in the spiritual light. He wants Nicodemus to know how to do what He is saying. Nicodemus knows rationally, Jesus is a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs He is doing if God were not with him. He is thinking in the dark when Jesus says no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born from above.  Read more

Pentecost John 15:26-27; 16:4b-15; 15:26

Rationally, everyone knows what the Spirit will testify. We testify what Jesus has told us about the Holy Spirit. He will testify on the behalf of Jesus. We are to testify because we have been with Him. He will guide us into all the truth. In his guidance, he will speak what comes to him from God. The Spirit will prophesy about events "to come". The Spirit will reveal the essential nature of God, and show Christ's essential nature and power. Whether the word comes from the Father, the Son, or the Spirit, it is the same.  Read more

EASTER VII John 15:6-19

Only Spiritual understanding can explain what Jesus meant when He prayed to the Father that He had given His words to the Apostles and they received or kept them. This does not mean they memorized them as the "Q" source would contend. It means they received them in their heart. Spiritual understanding is that Jesus put His words in the Apostles hearts, as well as in ours. This is why He never wrote down any of His words. Jesus is the Word of God.  Read more

EASTER VI John 15:9-17

Jesus is the Word of God. He is our authority. We do what He commands us to do. Some see a two Commandments dilemma. He gives us a new Commandment to Love others as He has loved us. He already has given us the two Great Commandments to Love God and to love others as we love ourselves. These two great Commandments cover all of the Scripture both New and Old. It is what we are called to do. No matter what the Law or others say or write, if it is not the loving thing to do, do not do it. Now, how do we follow what Jesus calls us to do?  Read more

EASTER V John 15:1-8

We learn with Rational Thinking and discover with Spiritual Understanding. The rational studies the physical evidence that is seen to understand the spiritual meaning. The spiritual studies the unseen evidence to understand the rational meaning. An example of this is in the Scripture for this Easter week four.  Read more

EASTER IV John 10:11-18

We learn with Rational Thinking and discover with Spiritual Understanding. The rational studies the physical evidence that is seen to understand the spiritual meaning. EASTER III Luke 24:36-48

The Resurrection of Jesus as the Son of God can be revealed in many ways. Jesus chose to have the Apostles, as well as us, to understand the resurrection by using the Old Testament Scriptures which were the only Scriptures at that time.  Read more

Easter II John 20:19-31. “Peace Be With You”

As we read this scripture with rational thinking (in our head), we look for the evidence of the resurrection. We go right on to the following words, “after he said this, he showed them his hands and his side.” This is the physical evidence we are looking for. With Spiritual understanding, you have to be quick for this one or it will go right past your heart and up and over to your head. This is the Jesus way.  Read more

Easter Day: The Lord Is Risen Indeed!

The proof of the resurrection is in who was not there. Look at the women coming and who is not there! It was Mary the mother of Jesus. Why was she not there? It was because she spiritually understood who He was and believed the scripture.  Read more
