Worldly, Light is a physical brightness for that time.

Godly, Light is spiritual insight for all times.

OLD TESTAMENT: Isaiah 60:1-6

Worldly: Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
Godly: Arise, spiritually shine; for you light has come into you, and the glory of the Lord has filled you.

 

Worldly sees the Psalms about the current physical time in Israel.

Godly sees the Psalms about Jesus spiritually in our time.

PSALM: 72:1-7, 10-14

Worldy: May he live while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
Godly: May He live spiritually while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.

 

Worldly, the mystery that was made known was Jesus.

Godly, the mystery that was made known was grace.

EPISTLE: Ephesians 3:1-12

Worldy: In former generations this mystery was not made known to humankind, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.
Godly: In former generations this spiritual mystery was not made known to humankind, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.

 

Worldly sees what the wise men gave were physical gifts.

Godly sees what the wise men gave were spiritual gifts.

GOSPEL: Matthew 2:1-12

Worldly: Opening their treasure chests, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Godly: Opening their treasure chests, they offered him spiritual gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
