This twelve part series is an attempt to make clear how to follow our heart by explaining an intangible concept!!

Part 3. THE RATIONAL HEAD

John 15:5 "Apart from me you can do nothing."

The rational head sees the physical seen.

The conscious heart feels the spiritually unseen.

It is impossible for the rational head to feel the spiritual heart. When we are in the Peace, Love, and Joy of the heart, we will think, feel, and act differently than when we are out of it. We can have negative thoughts that create negative feelings about the same thing we think about when in the heart. The difference is we will have Wisdom from the heart we never could have in the head.

What They Say About the Head

After all is said and done, trying to rationally get into the heart results in a lot more said and nothing is done.

A wise man can see more from the bottom of the heart than a fool can from a rational high.

The rational head out of the Presence arrests the conscious mind.

The head hates change because change brings the unknown.

Don't let your head deny your heart.

It's your chance to work magic.

Rational thinking trying to get into the heart would have confused Einstein.

Rational thinking outside of the Presence is like an autobiography with something wrong in it.

When we are thinking out of the Presence, our heart can be deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked.

Because our thoughts create our feelings, not the events, if we get angry because someone betrayed us once, it is our fault.

If we get angry because someone betrayed us twice, it is still our fault.

Rational Intelligence out of the Presence is no match for natural stupidity.

Beware of the half truth in your head. You may have gotten hold of the wrong half.

Everyone in the head is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

What They Are Not Saying is

How To Consciously Move From the Head Into the Heart

Step Three

Irrational thinking is to believe that events or persons create our feelings. The truth is, our rational head creates our conscious negative feeling about an external event. This makes the event a "here."

We need to separate the conscious negative feeling from the rational head by making it a "there."

We then are free to consciously open our heart to feel our inner Peace Presence. The feeling of Peace determines how we think not about the event but in the event. This is not something we learn to do. We do it all of the time. We need to discover how we do it.

Exercise Three: Strengthening Our Conscious Right Brain To Open Our Heart.

The least help of following our heart is learning what to do.

The real help is not in the classroom head, but by consciously getting into the heart room Presence.

Sometimes when we miss our friends, the feelings of loneliness can be overwhelming. We say to friends to "keep in touch." We are able to keep in touch anytime we want to. It is not remembering the good times, it is becoming aware of the NOW times. This exercise can help getting in touch with a friend and even in the grieving over the loss of a loved one.

Think of someone you care about who is not with you right now.  Say to them, "There you are."

Now sense their presence.

When you feel their presence say to them,

"Here you are".

Understand that no one is too far away.
