Worldly seeks to hear the voice of God to feel His Presence.
Godly feels His Presence to hear His voice.
Worldly prays to get into God’s Presence.
Godly gets into God’s Presence to pray.
OLD TESTAMENT: Acts 9:36-43
Worldly: | Peter put all of them outside, and then he knelt down and prayed. |
Godly: | Peter put all of them outside, and then he knelt down, opened his heart and prayed. |
Worldly looks for physical needs to be met.
Godly seeks to have spiritual needs met.
PSALM: 23
Worldy: | The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. |
Godly: | The LORD is my shepherd, spiritually I shall not want. |
Worldly thinks of God positionally above us.
Godly experiences God conditionally in us.
EPISTLE: Revelation 5:11-14
Worldy: | Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb. |
Godly: | Salvation belongs to our God, who spiritually sits on the throne, and to the Lamb. |
Worldly listens for the vocal voice of God.
Godly listens to the spiritual voice of God.
GOSPEL: John 10:22-30
Worldly: | My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. |
Godly: | My sheep listen to my spiritual voice; I know them spiritually, and they spiritually follow me. |
