Twenty-Seventh Sunday After Pentecost, The Reign of Christ the King: Bottom Line Spirituality

Unlocking the Gospel Secrets of Spirituality

Discover what difference reading these scriptures while Thinking Leaglism or Feeling Grace can make.

The Grace Language of Jesus

SPIRITUALITY CAN CHANGE OUR LIFE

Jesus took legalistic words and gave them the grace meaning to consciously feel the difference being in the Presence of God in Him.

Legalism is idolatry, depending on something outside ourselves to get what God has already given to us inside our selves. Grace is self-correcting.

Romans 13:10 - Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Having grace to go to is home, having someone to love is godly. Having both is a blessing!

Think Legalism: “Pasture” is a physical place.

Feel Grace: “Pasture” is when we feel His Presence.

OLD TESTAMENT: Jeremiah 23:1-6

Think Legalism: Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says the LORD.
Feel Grace: Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says the LORD.

Legalism gives stop signs, grace gives guidelines!

Think Legalism: “Refuge” is a place we go to find strength.

Feel Grace: “Refuge” is when we feel His strength already within us.

PSALM: 46

Think Legalism: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Feel Grace: God is our refuge and strength, a very Present help in trouble.

Little is much when God is in it!

Think Legalism: “Glory” is something we see.

Feel Grace: “Glory” is something we feel.

EPISTLE: Colossians 1:11-20

Think Legalism: May you be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power.
Feel Grace: May you be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power.

Grace is inclusive one size fits all!

Think Legalism: “Forgiveness” is something we do.

Feel Grace: “Forgiveness” is something we feel.

GOSPEL: Luke 23:33-43

Think Legalism: Forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.
Feel Grace: Forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.

The only right grace has is to Love!
