Twenty-Third Sunday After Pentecost: Bottom Line Spirituality

Unlocking the Gospel Secrets of Spirituality

Discover what difference reading these scriptures while Thinking Leaglism or Feeling Grace can make.

The Grace Language of Jesus

SPIRITUALITY CAN CHANGE OUR LIFE

Jesus took legalistic words and gave them the grace meaning to consciously feel the difference being in the Presence of God in Him.

Legalism is idolatry, depending on something outside ourselves to get what God has already given to us inside our selves. Grace is self-correcting.

Romans 8:7 - The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

If legalism fails, read the grace directions!

Think Legalism: “On” means upon.

Feel Grace: “On” means into.

OLD TESTAMENT: Joel 2:23-32

Think Legalism: I will pour out my spirit on all flesh.
Feel Grace: I will pour out my spirit into all flesh.

Grace is your 'Get out of Jail Free' card!

Think Legalism: “Come” means to move from one place to another.

Feel Grace: “Come” means to move from not feeling to feeling.

PSALM: 65

Think Legalism: O you who answer prayer! To you all flesh shall come.
Feel Grace: O you who answer prayer! To you all flesh shall come.

Legalism knocks a hole in your bucket of joy!

Think Legalism: “Kept” means to be faithful to feel faithful.

Feel Grace: “Kept” means to feel faith to be faithful.

EPISTLE: 2 Timothy 4:6-8, 16-18

Think Legalism: I have kept the faith.
Feel Grace: I have kept the faith.

Love is the only commandment, so when the Lord calls us we can move quickly!

Think Legalism: To “trust in yourself” is to think you are better than others.

Feel Grace: To “trust in yourself” is to feel God loves you better than others.

GOSPEL: Luke 18:9-14

Think Legalism: He told this parable to some who trusted in themselves.
Feel Grace: He told this parable to some who trusted in themselves.

Grace is the RESET BUTTON when legalism has short circuited our life!
