Twenty-Second Sunday After Pentecost: Bottom Line Spirituality

Unlocking the Gospel Secrets of Spirituality

Discover what difference reading these scriptures while Thinking Leaglism or Feeling Grace can make.

The Grace Language of Jesus

SPIRITUALITY CAN CHANGE OUR LIFE

Jesus took legalistic words and gave them the grace meaning to consciously feel the difference being in the Presence of God in Him.

Legalism is idolatry, depending on something outside ourselves to get what God has already given to us inside our selves. Grace is self-correcting.

Romans 8:4 - In order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Grace gets you real friends and legalism gets you tough times!

Think Legalism: “Watch over” means to see from above.

Feel Grace: “Watch over” means to feel from within.

OLD TESTAMENT: Jeremiah 31:27-34

Think Legalism: I will watch over them to build and to plant, says the LORD.
Feel Grace: I will watch over them to build and to plant, says the LORD.

You keep giving because grace takes care of you getting!

Think Legalism: “Eyes” are physical in the head.

Feel Grace: “Eyes” are spiritual from the heart.

PSALM: 121

Think Legalism: I lift up my eyes to the hills.
Feel Grace: I lift up my eyes to the hills.

Choosing not to make a decision to forgive is a decision!

Think Legalism: “Inspired” is felt by the writer.

Feel Grace: “Inspired” is also felt by the reader.

EPISTLE: 2 Timothy 3:14-4:5

Think Legalism: All scripture is inspired by God.
Feel Grace: All scripture is inspired by God.

When you throw mud at someone else, you lose ground!

Think Legalism: “Faith” is belief about Jesus.

Feel Grace: “Faith” is abiding in the feeling of His Presence.

GOSPEL: Luke 18:1-8

Think Legalism: When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?
Feel Grace: When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?

Today is a gift of grace from God that is why it's called the present!
