Fourteenth Sunday After Pentecost: Bottom Line Spirituality

Unlocking the Gospel Secrets of Spirituality

Discover what difference reading these scriptures while Thinking Leaglism or Feeling Grace can make.

The Grace Language of Jesus

SPIRITUALITY CAN CHANGE OUR LIFE

Jesus took legalistic words and gave them the grace meaning to consciously feel the difference being in the Presence of God in Him.

Legalism is idolatry, depending on something outside ourselves to get what God has already given to us inside our selves. Grace is self-correcting.

Romans 6:14 - For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

The legalists are the cause of all of life's problems and they think they are the answer to all of life's problems!

Think Legalism: Yoke is what we do that offends.

Feel Grace: Yoke is how we feel which is the cause of the offense.

OLD TESTAMENT: Isaiah 58:9b-14

Think Legalism: Remove the yoke from among you, the pointing of the finger and the speaking of evil.
Feel Grace: Remove the yoke from in you, the pointing of the finger, the speaking of evil.

Think Legalism: Blessing is about what God has done for us.

Feel Grace: Blessing is about feeling the Presence of God in us.

PSALM: 103:1-8

Think Legalism: Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Feel Grace: Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is spiritually within me, bless His holy name.

Think Legalism: “Touched” is to feel physically.

Feel Grace: “Touched” is to feel spiritually.

EPISTLE: Hebrews 12:18-29

Think Legalism: You have not come to something that can be touched.
Feel Grace: You have come to something that can be touched.

Think Legalism: One rejoices about what happens.

Feel Grace: One rejoices about feeling the power that makes it happen.

GOSPEL: Luke 13:10-17

Think Legalism: The entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that He was doing.
Feel Grace: The entire crowd was rejoicing at feeling the power of all the wonderful things that He was doing.
