Unlocking the Gospel Secrets of Spirituality
Discover what difference reading these scriptures while Thinking Leaglism or Feeling Grace can make.
The Grace Language of Jesus
SPIRITUALITY CAN CHANGE OUR LIFE
Jesus took legalistic words and gave them the grace meaning to consciously feel the difference being in the Presence of God in Him.
Legalism and grace work in opposite ways to get into God’s grace. See James 2:10
Legalism is idolatry, depending on something outside ourselves to get what God has already given to us inside our selves. Grace is self-correcting.
Think Legalism: Sin is an immoral act.
Feel Grace: Sin is separation from God.
OLD TESTAMENT: 2 Samuel 11:26-12:10, 13-15
Think Legalism: | I have sinned against the LORD. |
Feel Grace: | I have sinned spiritually against the LORD. |
Think Legalism: Forgiveness is for specific sins.
Feel Grace: Forgiveness is the experience of being in His Presence.
PSALM: 32
Think Legalism: | Happy are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. |
Feel Grace: | Happy are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sin is gone. |
Think Legalism: Christ lives in us.
Feel Grace: We experience Christ with us.
EPISTLE: Galatians 2:15-21
Think Legalism: | It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. |
Feel Grace: | It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives with me. |
Think Legalism: Faith is what we believe.
Feel Grace: Faith is what we experience.
GOSPEL: Luke 7: 6-8:3
Think Legalism: | Your faith has saved you; go in peace. |
Feel Grace: | Your faith has saved you; be in Peace. |
