Worldly, the heart feels what the head thinks.

Godly, the head thinks what the heart feels.

OLD TESTAMENT: Jeremiah 1:4-10

Worldly: The word of the LORD came to me.
Godly: The word of the LORD came spiritually to me.

Worldly, refuge is physical protection to get out of difficulties.

Godly, refuge is spiritual protection to go through difficulties.

PSALM: 71:1-6

Worldy: In you, O LORD, I take refuge;
Godly: In you, O LORD, I take spiritual refuge;

Worldly tries to love others to the best of their abilities.

Godly loves others to the best of God’s almighty Presence.

EPISTLE: 1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Worldy: If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
Godly: If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not spiritually have the Love of God in my heart, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

Worldly does not understand spiritual language.

Godly, Jesus speaks only in a spiritual language.

GOSPEL: Luke 4:21-30

Worldly: When they heard this, all in the synagogue were filled with rage.
Godly: When they heard this spiritual message, all in the synagogue were filled with rage because their hearts where not open to His message.
