Thinking Worldly, God delights in what we do.
Thinking Godly, God delights in who we are.
OLD TESTAMENT: Isaiah 62:1-5
Worldly: | The LORD delights in you. |
Godly: | The LORD delights spiritually within you. |
Worldly seeks the light of knowing in the head.
Godly seeks the spiritual light of inner Wisdom from the heart.
PSALM: 36:5-10
Worldy: | In your light we see light. |
Godly: | In your light we spiritually see light. |
Worldly does not understand spirituality.
Godly is spirituality.
EPISTLE: 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 ("gifts" are added)
Worldy: | Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. |
Godly: | Now concerning spirituality, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. |
Worldly seeks the meaning of physical signs.
Godly sees the meaning of spiritual signs.
GOSPEL: John 2:1-11 (“signs” or “miracles” in Greek are an operation of power.”)
Worldly: | Jesus did this, the first of His signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed His glory; and His disciples believed in Him. |
Godly: | Jesus did this, the first of His spiritual signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed His spiritual glory; and his disciples believed in Him. |
