OLD TESTAMENT: Isaiah 43:1-7

Worldly: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.
Godly: When you pass through the waters, I will be spiritually with you.

Worldly waits to hear the voice of God.

Godly hears the still, small, silent voice of God.

PSALM: 29

Godly: The voice of the LORD is spiritually powerful.

Worldly seeks spirituality from above.

Godly seeks spirituality from within.

EPISTLE: Acts 8:14-17 (The Greek word can be translated: “receive” or take”.)

Godly: Peter and John laid their hands on them, and they spiritually took the Holy Spirit.

Worldly sees fire as physically consuming.

Godly sees fire as spiritually cleansing.
