Worldly does the word to feel His Love.
Godly feels the Word to do His Love.
Worldly listens with the head.
Godly wonders in the heart.
OLD TESTAMENT: Acts 16:9-15
| Worldly: | The Lord opened her heart to listen eagerly to what was said by Paul. |
| Godly: | The Lord opened her heart to spiritually listen eagerly to what was said by Paul. |
Worldly looks to what is done to see the face of God.
Godly senses the face of God to see what He does.
PSALM: 67
| Worldy: | May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah. |
| Godly: | May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine in our heart and upon us, Selah. |
Worldly looks for a physical sign.
Godly feels the spiritual sign.
EPISTLE: Revelation 21:10, 22-22:5
| Worldy: | I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. |
| Godly: | I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb dwelling in my heart. |
Worldly believes the word is rational.
Godly knows the Word is spiritual.
GOSPEL: John 14:23-29
| Worldly: | The word that you hear is not mine, but is from the Father who sent me. |
| Godly: | The word that you spiritually hear is not mine, but is from the Father who spiritually sent me. |
