Worldly seeks to love others to feel God’s Love.

Godly feels God’s Love to love others.

Worldly sees actions as positional (with respect to physical locations).

Godly understand actions as conditional (with respect to the condition of the heart spiritually).

OLD TESTAMENT: Acts 11:1-18

Worldly: The Spirit told me to go with them (positional: to their place).
Godly: The Spirit told me to go with them (in a condition of grace and love).

Worldly sees Heaven as a place for God.

Godly sees Heaven as the reign of the Presence of God.

PSALM: 23

Worldy: Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights (positional: high up or in a high ruling position).
Godly: In my heart I Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights (in the spiritual condition of being in the Presence of God).

Worldly sees the new Heaven physically replacing the old one.

Godly senses the new Heaven as already here whenever we discern His Presence.

EPISTLE: Revelation 21:1-6

Worldy: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.
Godly: In my heart, I discerned a new heaven and a new earth; In His Presence the old heaven and the old earth had passed away.

Worldly: Whatever Jesus loved, we love.

Godly: How Jesus loved in God’s Presence is how we love.

GOSPEL: John 13:31-35

Worldly: I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you.
Godly: I give you a new commandment. Just as I have loved you in God’s Love, you love one another in my Love.
