Pentecost XX: Bottom Line Spirituality

Unlocking the Gospel Secrets of Spirituality

Discover what difference reading these scriptures in a Worldly or a Godly way make.

THE LANGUAGE OF THE SPIRIT

Spiritual language is natural, conscious and innate. It is not something we learn, it is something we discover. This language is not rationally taught but consciously remembered.

Take time to sense the godly Presence within when a spiritual word is added to the rational, worldly reading of scripture.

Worldly seeks to feel good about what they have physically. Godly seeks to feel God in what they have spiritually

OLD TESTAMENT: Amos 5:14

Worldly: Seek good and not evil that you may live.
Godly: Seek good and not evil When you live spiritually.

Worldly rejoices when they feel the Love of God. Godly rejoices because they feel the Love of God.

PSALM: 90:12-17

Worldy: Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, so that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Godly: Spiritually satisfy us in our heart with your steadfast love, so that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Worldly see the Word of God as written. Godly sees the Word of God as living.

EPISTLE: Hebrews 4:12

Worldy: The Bible is the Word of God. It is living and active, sharper than a two edge sword.
Godly: Jesus is the Word of God. He is living and active, sharper than a two edge sword.

Worldly depends on what they have for their spirituality. Godly depends on what God has for their spirituality.

GOSPEL: Mark 10:17-31

Worldly: Sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and come, follow Me.
Godly: Sell what you own spiritually, and give it up and come and abide in Me.
