OLD TESTAMENT: Genesis 37:1-4, 12-28

Literal Religion: Understands dreams are about real life.

Read this scripture literally for its religious meaning.

“They said to one another, ‘here comes this dreamer.’”

Spiritual Grace: Knows dreams are spiritual from God and need interpretation.

Now quietly move into God's Presence and read this scripture again.

“They said to one another, ‘here comes this dreamer.’”

Did you feel the Grace?

Grace is the Word of God and legalism is not!

PSALM: 105:1-6, 16-22, 45b

Literal Religion: It is not possible to continually seek the Lord’s Presence rationally.

Read this scripture literally for its religious meaning.

“Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his Presence continually.”

Spiritual Grace: It is possible to continually seek the spiritual Presence of the Lord consciously.

Now quietly move into God's Presence and read this scripture again.

GOSPEL: Matthew 14:22-33

Literal Religion: We lose contact with the spiritual Presence by moving from our conscious awareness to our rational thinking.

“But when he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’”

Spiritual Grace: When we are conscious of the Presence we think in a different way than when we are rationally thinking how we feel about a situation.
