This twelve part series is an attempt to make clear how to follow our heart by explaining an intangible concept!!

Part 5. The Presence Within

Luke 17:2 "You won't be able to say, 'Here it is!' or 'It's over there’ for the Kingdom of God is already in you."

The rational head sees the physical seen.

The conscious heart feels the spiritually unseen.

Modern day psychology tells us we must look inside ourselves to find what we want. What is inside us is a spiritual Presence. It is called "God" because it is not ours. The Presence is not ours but it is our Life. We have all experienced the Presence of Peace when there was no peace, and Love when we could not find anyone to love us and a Joy within ourselves when there was no reason for joy. Most of all when we experience this Presence, we gain a Wisdom we never could have had when depending on external conditions for our life.

What Is Being Said About What The Presence Is

The dedicated life in the Presence is the life worth living. You live with your whole heart!

The Presence is where you can pour out the contents of your chaff and grain alike. It is knowing  that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.

In the Presence, we are just like the way we are but we don't get bored.

In the Presence, we are patient enough to live one day at

a time, letting yesterday go and leaving tomorrow until it arrives.

The Presence produces character to face the conflicts of life.

There are things the Heart believes that, to the head, do not always seem logical.

The Presence plants hope in a hopeless heart.

Anyone who uses the phrase "easy as taking candy from a baby" to rationally get into the Presence has never tried taking candy from a baby.

The Presence within is the realization that something other than ourselves is real.

In the Presence, follow your heart with confidence and you will live the life you have imagined.

When we feel the Presence of our real selves we will make the choices that enable us to be our real selves.

What They Are Not Saying is

How To Get Into the Presence

Step Five

What we think is irrelevant. How we think, either in or out of the heart, is most relevant. When we think out of the heart, our rational head creates our feelings. An event that creates a negative thought creates a negative feeling. The conscious feeling in our heart Presence creates a Wisdom we can know only by being in. We open our heart with conscious wondering, never with rational thinking.

The Presence may just as well sit there like a stone until we open our heart to a new life.

Exercise Five: Strengthening Our Conscious Right Brain To Open Our Heart.

Thinking is an act of the head. Wondering is an act of the heart.

Start each day this week by wondering what difference being in or out of your Peace Presence would make.

Do the same at the end of the day by wondering what difference it would have made if you were in or out of your Peace Presence.

Note the difference.
