Twenty-Sixth Sunday After Pentecost: Bottom Line Spirituality
Unlocking the Gospel Secrets of Spirituality
Discover what difference reading these scriptures while Thinking Leaglism or Feeling Grace can make.
The Grace Language of Jesus
SPIRITUALITY CAN CHANGE OUR LIFE
Jesus took legalistic words and gave them the grace meaning to consciously feel the difference being in the Presence of God in Him.
Legalism is idolatry, depending on something outside ourselves to get what God has already given to us inside our selves. Grace is self-correcting.
Romans 13:8 - [Love Fulfills the Law] Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
Grace is a lovely surprise to finally discover how unlonely being alone can be!
Think Legalism: “Create” is seen physically.
Feel Grace: “Create” is felt spiritually.
OLD TESTAMENT: Isaiah 65:17-25
Think Legalism: | I am about to create new heavens and a new earth. |
Feel Grace: | I am about to create new heavens and a new earth. |
If you let legalism get between you and grace, it is closer to grace than you!
Think Legalism: “New” is better.
Feel Grace: “New” is different.
PSALM: 98
Think Legalism: | O sing to the LORD a new song. |
Feel Grace: | O sing to the LORD a new song. |
You don't stop laughing when you get grace, you get legalism when you stop laughing!
Think Legalism: “Command” means to order.
Feel Grace: “Command” means to feel the difference.
EPISTLE: 2 Thessalonians 3:6-13
Think Legalism: | We command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ. |
Feel Grace: | We command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ. |
The one thing we learn from legalism is that we don't learn from legalism!
Think Legalism: “Endurance” is physical strength.
Feel Grace: “Endurance” feels its spiritual strength.
GOSPEL: Luke 21:5-19
Think Legalism: | By your endurance you will gain your souls. |
Feel Grace: | By your endurance you will gain your souls. |
Grace makes fishers of men. Legalism makes keepers of the aquarium!
