What to do with miracles? Some miracles are one shot occasions, such as the changing water into wine. Other miracles are for individuals only and mostly only for one time. Peter’s walking on water was just for him at that one moment. Some miracles are done by empowering the followers of Jesus such as healings by the disciples. With literal thinking, people may see their pastors as prophets because they said they are. This is “because the Bible tells us so.” From Hebrews 13:17, “Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.” In spiritual understanding, none of this makes sense. To read the scripture spiritually one already knows the spiritual principles. The emphasis is not on the Sword or the Peace. It is on “Think.” Do not “think” I am here to bring peace in the world. Spiritually we know when we are out of the Presence our thoughts create our feelings. We depend on things being peaceful so we can find our peace. If they’re not peaceful, conflict between ourselves and others create our stress, anger and hurt. There is no peace. Read more
